Freight Clerk

Our client, a leading logistics organization, is seeking a dedicated Freight Clerk to join their team. As a Freight Clerk, you will be an essential part of the Logistics Department supporting the Corporate Office South team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Freight Clerk

Location: AUSTIN, MN

Pay Range: $19.15

Shift: Monday – Friday, 40 hours (traditional workday – 7am – 4pm or 8am – 5pm). Work from home on Fridays after training and trust is established.

What's the Job?

• Track and trace customer and truck deliveries to ensure timely and accurate updates.
• Generate and review daily in-transit reports to monitor ongoing shipments.
• Manage gate protocol requests and coordinate point of delivery (POD) requests efficiently.
• Communicate proactively about late trucks and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery statuses and support logistics operations.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and external partners.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tracking and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and reporting tools.
