Cath Lab Technologist Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional cardiology and must demonstrate competence and prior experience in the Cath Lab environment.
Unit Information- Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Number of Suites/Labs: 4
- Average Cases Per Day: 10-15
- Shift Length: 8 or 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Options: 4x10s or 5x8s with on-call requirements
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes
The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for the following:
- Scrubbing in and monitoring during interventional procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with cardiologists and nursing staff.
- Floating to other procedural areas as necessary based on patient census.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Required certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS, and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI.
The Cath Lab operates with cases typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and requires weekend, weeknight, and holiday call coverage. Scrubs will be provided, and the initial orientation will consist of three department-specific shifts.
