Position: Vote by Mail Opening Clerk
Industry: Elections Office
Assigned Work Location: Orlando, FL 32806
Pay Rate: $15/hr.
Assignment Dates: October 16th and November 3rd.

Vote by Mail Opening Clerk Responsibilities:
- Assist with the Vote-by-Mail opening process in coordination with the Vote-by-Mail Support & Mail Clerk
- Assist with the Ballot removal from certificates and preparation of ballot batches to be processed
- Assist with the duplication process
- Assist with completing control sheet paperwork for processing batches
- Assist with support on the high-speed machines
- Assist with research and resolution of batch errors and retrieve certificates if needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What will you need as a Vote by Mail Opening Clerk?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a customer service position
- Prior work experience in a position with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good listening skills and desire to serve customers
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to sit for long periods of time while sorting paper
- Ability to commit to the full assignment as hours of work are not guaranteed
- Report to work on time
- Be able to speak and write English
- Must remain nonpartisan while on duty
- Refrain from using personal electronics or other distractions while on duty
- Agree to be seen by public via live stream cameras
- Be comfortable with Media presence and or being recorded.
