Caregiver – Personal Support Provider

Location: Longwood, FL
Schedule: 12 hours per week

• 1st & 3rd week of the month: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday — 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• 2nd & 4th week of the month: Friday & Saturday — 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
  Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and compassionate caregiver to provide personal support services for an adult client who uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with daily living tasks. The ideal candidate will be patient, professional, and able to maintain a supportive and safe environment while encouraging the client’s independence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including toileting, grooming, and safe transferring
• Prepare simple meals and support healthy eating routines
• Provide companionship through activities such as playing board games and social interaction
• Support safe mobility and wheelchair transfers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Offer reminders and assistance as needed to promote independence
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and respect at all times

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the medical field or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Must pass a Level 2 background screening and local background check
• Ability to safely assist with personal care and wheelchair transfers
• Must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor
• Strong communication skills and dependable work ethic
