Job Description
Gillmann service is Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demolition Foreman to lead and oversee demolition projects within our construction division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing demolition crews, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management practices, technical drawings, and safety regulations to deliver projects efficiently and safely. The Demolition Foreman will play a vital role in supervising daily operations, managing resources, and ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Lead and supervise demolition crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure timely project completion.
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to plan demolition activities accurately.
- Enforce adherence to federal and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards, to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure necessary materials and services for demolition activities.
- Conduct quality control inspections during demolition phases to verify compliance with project standards.
- Oversee site safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure all team members utilize proper personal protective equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings and technical documents related to pipeline or heavy infrastructure demolitions.
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, safety incidents, and project progress using tools like Bluebeam and Prolog.
- Collaborate with project managers on scheduling adjustments, budgeting considerations, and project scope modifications.
- Supervise crew management activities including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
