Sandblasting Technician

Luxor Staffing is hiring a Sandblasting Technician paying up to $20 per hour with 1st shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!

Shift: Mon-Fri 5AM-3:30PM

Responsibilities

• Safely remove existing coating systems and prepare parts for painting by cleaning, masking, and abrasive blasting surfaces.
• Operate and monitor blasting and surface preparation equipment, checking machines for proper operation, safety, and maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine proper setup, methods, and work sequence.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications, while accurately documenting completed work in ERP/Shop Floor Manager systems.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, maintain a clean and safe work area, and coordinate with leads to ensure paperwork and production requirements are complete.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of surface preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate surface preparation equipment and work with abrasives, masking materials, and related painting-preparation tools.
• Ability to continuously lift 50+ lbs. during an 8-hour shift.
• Strong physical stamina, flexibility, arm-hand steadiness, and visual ability to distinguish colors and inspect finished parts.
• Comfortable using computers and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience or willingness to learn ERP, M2M/SFM, warehouse, and inventory systems.
