Retail Leadership roles at our new store located in Elkhorn, NE, offers an exciting opportunity to join a large team dedicated to providing excellent customer service in retail setting. The role involves leading, training and directing a team with direct face-to-face interactions with customers and includes on-the-job training to enhance product knowledge and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Organize work; fill department staffing needs as authorized by store management, train and schedule associates
• Respond appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, accidents and questions. Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous and professional in all interactions so that customers are consistently provided with prompt courteous service.
• Follow through on implementation of company programs and adherence to company policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of dress code, grooming, sanitation and maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
• Engage with customers to provide friendly and efficient service
• Replenish stock to ensure product availability throughout the day
• Arrange and display products attractively to maximize sales
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail area
• Check product freshness dates; make sure merchandise is properly rotated.
• Help keep sales areas, backrooms, coolers clean and well organized.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in retail clerking
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team
• Attention to detail to maintain high standards of display and cleanliness

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Willing to be flexible and work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights as the work demands. Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Demonstrated aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
• Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.
• Customer Service skills

• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags

Physical Demands:

• Standing & Walking – Frequent standing & walking. Estimated total time 7.5 hrs. Maximum continuous time up to 4 hrs.
• Sitting – Rarely required. Estimated total time 30 mins. Maximum continuous time 30 mins.
• Lifting & Carrying – Max weight 50 lbs., average weight 25 lbs., distance carried 1-5 feet. Must frequently lift items under 10 lbs. and items between 11-25 lbs., occasionally lift items 26-100 lbs., and rarely lift over 100 lbs.
• Pushing and Pulling –Frequent pushing or pulling pallet jacks, grocery carts, flatbed carts, U-boats throughout the store.
• Climbing – Frequent climbing ladders and step ladders 1.5 to 10 feet tall.
• Other – This position also requires frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling, as well as constant use of either arm or both for reaching in all directions. Other requirements include twisting, neck flexion/extension, cervical rotation, high grip strength, frequent forearm movement, and frequent or sustained awkward wrist positions.
• Work Conditions – Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sudden changes in temperature, cramped quarters, sharp edges & hammering or impact tools.
