Male Caregiver – Developmental Disabilities Support (Full-Time) (Spanish or English speaking)

1099 Independent Contractor

Schedule: 57 hours

  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Male Caregiver provides direct support to an adult client with a developmental disability, assisting with daily living skills, personal care, safety, and meaningful engagement in the home and community. This role requires reliability, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to supporting the client’s independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Support — Assist with morning routines, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and general supervision.
  • Community Outings — Accompany the client on outings, activities, and appointments; encourage social interaction and community participation.
  • Skill Building — Support the client in practicing communication, self‐care, and independent living skills.
  • Safety Monitoring — Maintain a safe environment and follow all care protocols.
  • Documentation — Complete required notes, logs, and reports accurately and on time.
  • Transportation Support — Provide safe transportation for community activities when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Male staff only (client-specific requirement).
  • High school diploma or college degree.
  • One year of experience working with individuals receiving services in a medical or care environment or equivalent education.
  • Ability to pass local and Level 2 background checks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Comfortable working independently and following care plans.
  • Willing and able to participate in community activities with the client.
