Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, injections, IV, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques and nursing home protocols.
• Monitor patients’ physiological status using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures including laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and catheterizations.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and medication regimens.

Skills

• Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems.
• Proficiency in specialized nursing procedures including IV insertion, tube feeding management, catheter care, sterile processing, and ostomy care.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental delays; providing compassionate long-term care in nursing homes.
• Competence in infection control practices and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
