About the Role:
Redeemed Assembly Jesus Christ in Richmond, VA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool/Toddler Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool and toddler-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early childhood development
- Monitor and document children's developmental milestones and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with childcare regulations
- Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times
- Incorporate social-emotional learning and values into daily routines
Requirements:
- Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or early childhood education coursework preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families and staff
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Virginia childcare regulations
