Production Operator - Foundry Operations - Sevierville
Pay - 20.50/hr
Schedule - Sunday to Thursday 9:30pm to 6:00am
Clean pouring boards using appropriate equipment and troughs, and set up boards for pouring.
Turn on, monitor, and verify proper operation of the wet scrubber system throughout the shift.
Load alloy into lazy pans and maintain accurate production records.
Load and operate the jaw crusher and bucket conveyor.
Weigh and record dross cleaned from furnaces by the pouring crew.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including removal of nickel/aluminum alloy dust.
Clean the mill as required.
Properly place hazardous and non-hazardous waste into the designated satellite accumulation areas.
Assist with training new operators as needed.
Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability and willingness to wear a full helmet PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator), which supplies filtered air to the employee, for the duration of the shift.
Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in a foundry/manufacturing production environment.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
Willingness to work a night shift on a temporary assignment.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience
1+ years of previous manufacturing or production experience.
Prior foundry, metals, or heavy industrial experience.
This is a hands-on production position that requires standing, lifting, bending, and working in a foundry environment. Employees will be required to wear a full helmet PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator), which provides filtered air to the employee while working.
