General Laborer

Our client, an industry leader in furniture manufacturing and assembly, is seeking a General Laborer to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be part of the production department supporting assembly and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: ALMA, MI

Pay Rate: $18 an hour

Shift: 6 am - 4:30 pm

What's the Job?
Multiple departments available including:

• Assembly line
  • Assemble Decking, platform or furniture installation
  • Assemble furniture and related products according to specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, air tools, staplers, drills, saws, grinders, rivet guns, sanders, and other equipment
• Powder coating
  • prepare parts for coating
  • operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems
  • determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality
  • 1-3 years minimum experience and/or training
• Glue Booth
  • Use various hand tools and glue gun to glue foam components to furniture core pieces
  • cross-trains throughout various departments
• Read job travelers and engineered drawings to ensure accuracy
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to read measurements and technical drawings
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and work overtime as needed
