Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a teaching facility, requiring ARRT (R) certification and OR/C-arm experience.
Details
- Imaging department with 3 X-ray rooms (2 general X-ray, 1 Fluoroscopy/Pain Clinic)
- Care areas include Outpatient, Inpatient (ED/ICU/MedSurg), and Operating Room
- Primarily adult/geriatric patients with some pediatric cases
- Performs Fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, Ortho and Ortho Trauma imaging, ICU, MedSurg, and ER scans (CXR, AB scans, Vascular)
- Average of 25-30 scans per day
- EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
- Equipment includes Siemens imaging units, T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX, Canon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Philips and OEC C-arms, GE AMX 4 portable, and Mini C-arm for Ortho scans
- 6-week schedules with variable day or evening shifts, 40 hours per week
- Weekend rotation varies based on need
- No call required
- Floating limited to a fixed location other than OR or portables for inpatient scans
Requirements
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Compact or Maine state license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology Technology
- OR/C-arm experience required
- Fluoroscopy experience preferred; candidates without Fluoro experience but otherwise strong may still be considered with manager approval
- Experience with adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations
Additional Information
- Supported by a Lead Tech, internal transport team, and on-site Radiologist available 3 days a week (remote reading 2 days with phone availability until 1630/1700)
- Orientation lasts 1-1.5 weeks based on experience and comfort level
- Holiday coverage is completed in rotation with other techs
- RTO requires manager approval
- Scrubs may be any solid professional color, or provided by the facility if needed
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered, though more experience is preferred
