Schedule

  • 40 hours/week
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Rotating days with mixed start times:
    • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Every other weekend: Required
  • Holidays: Required
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40/week

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
  • ARRT – Radiography: Required
  • Massachusetts Radiation Control License: Required
  • CT qualification through either:
    • Certification from an accredited CT program, or
    • Current ARRT CT registration
  • Experience requirement:
    • 3 years as a Radiologic Technologist, OR
    • 1 year of current CT Tech experience within the last 5 years
  • BLS: Required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas according to physician orders.
  • Operate CT scanner, control console, and related equipment.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Position patients and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Assist physicians/nurses with patient monitoring and treatment during procedures.
  • Assist with administration of contrast media when appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Apply radiation-safety principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Maintain equipment, perform calibration checks, and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate radiology records and patient identification.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, hospital, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
