- 40 hours/week
- 8-hour shifts
- Rotating days with mixed start times:
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend: Required
- Holidays: Required
- Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
- ARRT – Radiography: Required
- Massachusetts Radiation Control License: Required
- CT qualification through either:
- Certification from an accredited CT program, or
- Current ARRT CT registration
- Experience requirement:
- 3 years as a Radiologic Technologist, OR
- 1 year of current CT Tech experience within the last 5 years
- BLS: Required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas according to physician orders.
- Operate CT scanner, control console, and related equipment.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
- Position patients and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Evaluate images for technical quality.
- Assist physicians/nurses with patient monitoring and treatment during procedures.
- Assist with administration of contrast media when appropriately trained and authorized.
- Apply radiation-safety principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Maintain equipment, perform calibration checks, and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate radiology records and patient identification.
- Follow infection-control, safety, hospital, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
