Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and BLS.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-ray procedures
- Assists radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
- Performs X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures including C-arm and OR work
- 13-week assignment on night shift
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- May be required to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, or take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
Requirements
- Active state license required if applicable
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) including Computed Tomography (CT) required
- Current BLS certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
- 2 years of prior CT Technologist experience preferred
- Cross-training in other modalities such as MRI, DEXA, or Mammography preferred
- Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems preferred
- Proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, and technical quality evaluation for CT scans
- Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA standards
- Maintains accurate patient records including charging procedures and supplies
- May assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
- May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
- Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
- Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment
