Position Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse, production, or distribution facility. This role supports efficient operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach truck and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products

• Inspect forklifts before and after use and report maintenance or safety issues

• Verify product quantities, labels, and documentation

• Transport materials to designated locations according to work orders

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies

• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid forklift certification Osha or Pic Card

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

• Previous forklift, reach truck or warehouse experience preferred

• Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and safety instructions

• Basic math and record-keeping skills

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

• Ability to work in warehouse conditions, including heat, cold, and noise

Work Schedule/Pay

• Full-time

• 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. or 12:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.

• Pay $18.00 - $20.00

Work Environment

• Warehouse or distribution setting

• Exposure to moving equipment and machinery
