Position Overview

We are hiring a Equipment Assembly Technician to build custom machinery from the ground up. In this role, you will perform mechanical assembly, precision alignment, metal finishing, and final quality checks before products ship out to customers. You’ll work alongside our fabrication, welding, and engineering teams in an active manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Assembly: Assemble custom equipment, subassemblies, and hardware using hand/power tools and engineering work instructions.
• Fit & Finish: Align components, install paneling/guards, and perform deburring, grinding, sanding, and surface preparation to meet high quality standards.
• Quality & Pre-Shipment Inspection: Inspect finished builds for dimensional accuracy, proper fit, and functional readiness prior to final shipment.
• Team Integration: Assist welding, electrical, and engineering teams during final integration stages to keep production on timeline.
• Shipment Prep: Clean, label, protect, and stage completed machinery for safe transport.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Tools & Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using standard hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Finishing Knowledge: Basic familiarity with metal finishing (grinding, deburring, polishing).
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

• Ability to read blueprints or engineering drawings.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
