SEMI DRIVERS

Description:

 

The Semi-Driver is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Responsible for transporting product we manufacture to off site distributors/distribution sites. Pick up and bring back non-produced product, material handling product, ingredients and any other product that needs to be moved by semi-truck or box truck in a timely and safe manner.
• Utilize a semi-truck, a van, or a route truck to move product and other materials from one facility to the next
• Perform general warehouse duties when required
• Must comply with all DOT regulations and complete truck and trailer inspections daily
• Report in/Check in with Supervisor when returning to Better Made Snack Foods
• Work as a team member
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned by supervision/management

NOTE: If at any time while conducting these job duties and you are not clear as to a procedure that is required then you must notify your immediate Supervisor or Manager. However, all the above has been covered under your training. A test for understanding was conducted at the time of your training.

Requirements:

 

• Must be able to read, write and perform math calculations
• Must possess a valid CDL-A
• Ability to handle twisting, bending, and reaching
• Understand and carry out oral instructions
• Ability to operate a pallet jack
• Must have a valid DOT Card and valid Medical Card
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100lbs
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision
