JOB SUMMARY:
Work closely with suppliers, customers, manufacturing, engineering, quality and customer service to generate and execute schedules that meet customer demands while also meeting the plant's internal goals. Actively participate in the forecasting/planning process. Manage inventory movement activities and physical inventory comparisons.

* Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.

* Strong quantitative analysis skills.
* Ability to develop and use planning strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide forecasts to suppliers.
* Place orders with internal and external supplies and communicate regarding delivery status.
* Convert customer requirements to an achievable manufacturing schedule.
* Communicate schedules to manufacturing teams.
* Provide supply plans to customers.
* Establish monthly shipping plans and coordinate execution of the plans.
* Maintain visibility of overdue jobs, analyze causes, and develop recovery schedules.
* Effective communication with suppliers, manufacturing teams, production planning, engineering, sales, and customers to ensure timely product delivery in a cost-effective manner.
* Acts as the principle point of contact with manufacturing teams on production schedule issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of experience in production planning/scheduling OR 1 or more internships/development rotations in supply chain/production planning in a manufacturing environment OR AA Degree plus 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with production planning/scheduling responsibilities OR 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS Certification is preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrates competent use of automated order system.
- Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to develop and use planning strategies.
