We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 1A to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Market Street in Meyersdale.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role oversees the full range of store operations, from staffing and scheduling to customer service and merchandising. The position ensures that the store runs efficiently, maintains high standards, and supports both customers and employees. As a Liquor Store General Manager 1A, you will perform the following duties:
- Store Management: Manage daily operations to keep the store organized, efficient, and ready for business
- Staff Leadership: Guide employees through training, feedback, and support to maintain strong performance
- Customer Support: Assist customers, resolve concerns, and ensure a friendly and helpful environment
- Resource Planning: Plan inventory and allocate store resources to meet weekly needs and promotional goals
- Operational Accuracy: Verify signage, product placement, and promotional displays to match established guidelines
- Financial Oversight: Monitor transactions, prepare deposits, and ensure accurate handling of store funds
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Free - Secure - Onsite Parking
- Full-time employment
- Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of lead retail sales work.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
