We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join a long-term contract opportunity in Denver, Colorado. This position will focus on quality review and investigative analysis within financial crimes compliance, helping ensure casework meets internal standards and regulatory expectations. The role is ideal for someone who can evaluate complex activity, apply sound judgment, and produce clear documentation in a highly controlled environment.

Responsibilities:

• Examine alerts and completed investigations to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality expectations.

• Evaluate transactional activity and supporting research to decide whether additional escalation is warranted.

• Analyze investigative results to identify situations that may justify recommending a Suspicious Activity Report.

• Prepare thorough, well-organized summaries that align with compliance guidelines and regulatory standards.

• Apply critical thinking to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or risk indicators within reviewed cases.

• Use Excel and data analysis techniques to interpret findings, spot trends, and support review decisions.

• Partner with compliance and risk stakeholders to promote consistent review practices and strong case quality.

• At least 5 years of experience in a business, analytical, or functional role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in risk, compliance, financial crimes, or a related oversight environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance review expectations in a controlled setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with data for analysis and decision support.
