Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA licensure
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of language, articulation, and speech disorders
  • Ability to implement therapeutic activities as directed by a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
  • Organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments
  • Implement individualized therapy plans for students under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Track and document student progress, helping to adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Provide support in classroom and one-on-one settings, adapting materials and techniques for each child
  • Keep parents and teachers updated on student progress, collaborating to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and activity planning as needed
