Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated Transportation Clerk II to join their team. As a Transportation Clerk II, you will be an integral part of the transportation department supporting daily operations and ensuring smooth logistics workflows. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Transportation Clerk II
Location: Warrendale, PA
Pay Range: Based on Experience
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Schedules are subject to change based on business needs)
What's the Job?
- Monitor driver progress and route execution using Omnitracs and other tracking systems.
- Gather, organize, and process driver paperwork, including logs, manifests, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation.
- Conduct driver debriefs and communicate operational updates.
- Answer incoming phone calls, route calls, and take messages.
- Provide administrative support to transportation and operations teams.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, administrative, transportation, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
- Experience with Omnitracs or similar transportation management systems preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
