Drone Operations & Logistics CoordinatorAbout the Role

Join an innovative team supporting the future of autonomous aerial delivery. This position plays a key role in maintaining daily drone logistics activities, supporting field operations, managing equipment movement, and ensuring safe execution of flight-testing programs. You'll work both indoors and outdoors while partnering with aviation professionals and helping represent the operation within the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prepare drone equipment, batteries, and supporting hardware for daily operations.
  • Transport materials, replacement parts, and operational equipment throughout designated test areas using company vehicles.
  • Observe operational airspace and surrounding conditions, escalating safety concerns, obstacles, or unusual activity when identified.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, storing, and preparing inventory and packages for movement through the drone delivery network.
  • Follow established operational workflows, safety requirements, and quality procedures to ensure mission readiness.
  • Provide courteous and professional interactions with visitors, community members, and stakeholders who have questions about the program.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and activity logs using electronic tracking systems and standard documentation tools.
  • Support shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and material movement to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Perform visual inspections and basic equipment support activities using mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while operating in warehouses, flight-test locations, and outdoor work areas.
  • Regularly move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending as needed.
  • Work closely with flight operations, maintenance personnel, and aviation support teams to ensure successful execution of daily activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
  • Ability to meet FAA safety-sensitive employment requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving history.
  • Capability to safely lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to remain active on your feet for extended shifts.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, squatting, and material handling.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Experience supporting inventory, warehouse, logistics, or material-control functions.
  • Basic computer and data-entry proficiency.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around technical equipment.
  • Understanding of shipping processes, inventory management, or logistics operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to procedural compliance.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate potential safety risks in a dynamic operating environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, supply-chain, or logistics environments.
  • Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, drone, or transportation operations.
  • Familiarity with aviation terminology, operational procedures, or regulatory concepts.
  • Previous exposure to airport, aircraft, or flight-support activities.
  • Comfortable working around unmanned aircraft systems and emerging technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a rapidly evolving testing environment.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career path within drone operations, flight support, aviation technology, or autonomous systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Pendleton, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
