Location: Long Beach
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Pay: $24–$26/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Import Specialist to manage and coordinate ocean import shipments from booking through delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean import shipments and follow up on bookings, ETAs, arrival notices, and cargo availability.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, truckers, terminals, customs brokers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor customs clearance, exams, container status, and cargo release.
• Review and maintain accurate shipment documentation and system data.
• Resolve shipment issues and assist customers with tracking and inquiries.
• Obtain and enter vendor costs and process customer invoices.

Requirements:
 

• 1 year ocean import (freight forwarding) experience for LA/Long Beach ports
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools
• Excellent organizational ability
• Pay attention to the details

• Solution oriented and strong logical skills
• Have good communications skills with customers and colleagues
