Special Education Teacher in Cambridge, MA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher license required
• Previous experience in a special education classroom, especially with K-2 or severe needs populations, is strongly preferred
• Ability to differentiate curriculum and foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, staff, and support personnel
• Dedication to promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction, interventions, and accommodations for elementary students with intensive needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure holistic support
• Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary
• Engage families and caregivers in supporting student goals and progress
