Special Education Teacher - Columbia, SC

This is a contract position starting immediately, with standard school-day hours.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid or eligible South Carolina Special Education Teacher Certification: Multi-categorical (PK–Grade 12)
• Familiarity with the IEP process, including writing, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Experience supporting students with behavioral needs and creating positive interventions
• Ability to work onsite, following the school day and school year calendar

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and behavioral interventions for elementary students in a BIC classroom setting
• Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans aligned with students’ needs and goals
• Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student learning and growth
