Special Education Teacher in San Jose, CA

Exciting contract opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers looking to make a difference in the lives of students! Located near Sunnyvale and San Jose, CA, this position features two maternity leave coverages within a supportive school environment. Choose from two available caseloads, both requiring a Mild to Moderate certification:

Caseload #1:

• Dates: January 11, 2027 – June 10, 2027
• 6th grade Resource Specialist Program (RSP) with an English Language Arts concentration
• Oversee a group of 20 students
• Responsible for IEP case management and leading academic instruction

Caseload #2:

• Dates: March 1, 2027 – June 10, 2027
• Self-contained K-5 classroom (current students in 3rd-5th grades)
• Collaborate with 2 experienced paraeducators
• Focus on individualized learning and student growth

Qualifications:

• Valid California credential in Special Education (Mild to Moderate)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in school settings
• Proficiency in IEP case management
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Willingness to cover specified maternity leave periods
