Overview
\nWe are seeking a committed Charge Registered Nurse (Charge RN) to provide both clinical care and shift‑level leadership across any unit of the hospital. This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring safe, efficient operations throughout the shift. New graduates with strong leadership potential are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Charge Nurse Leadership

- Lead and supervise nursing staff during assigned shift. \n
- Assign patients and delegate tasks to LPNs and aides. \n
- Oversee all patient care activities performed by non‑licensed personnel. \n
- Organize workflow, prioritize patient care, and maintain unit readiness. \n
- Address staff, patient, and family concerns as appropriate. \n
- Keep the Director of Nursing informed of staffing, census, or operational issues. \n
- Support a collaborative, team‑based environment across all hospital units. \n
Clinical Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Provide direct nursing care in support of medical staff. \n
- Administer medications (oral, parenteral, IV) and monitor patient responses. \n
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition. \n
- Assist with procedures including wound care, dressing changes, and subclavian catheter insertion/maintenance. \n
- Monitor parenteral infusions and ensure accurate documentation. \n
- Assist with lab draws and EKGs as needed. \n
- Coordinate patient care activities (lab, imaging, diagnostics). \n
- Enter orders per hospital policy. \n
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control standards. \n
- Participate in staff meetings, in‑services, and peer evaluations. \n
- Follow chain of command and hospital policies. \n
Schedule

- Full-time Nights 7a-7p \n
- Weekend work required \n
- May rotate shifts \n
- May be called in for emergencies \n
Qualifications - Education & Experience
\n- \n
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing \n
- No experience required beyond clinical training (leadership potential required) \n
Licensure & Certifications
\n- \n
- Active Nebraska RN license (or ability to obtain) \n
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC required within 1 year of hire \n

- Strong communication, leadership, and critical‑thinking skills \n
- Ability to work across multiple hospital units as assigned \n
