Job Requirements\n

\n
• Active Washington State RN license
\n
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
\n
• Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred; minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
\n
• Current BLS certification through AHA or equivalent within 30 days of hire
\n
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring required within the specified timeframe
\n
• NRP Advanced required for applicable mother-baby and newborn care responsibilities
\n
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
\n
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and crisis management skills
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, patient-focused maternity care environment
\n

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and mother-baby patients
\n
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
\n
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
\n
• Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and support staff to promote safe patient outcomes
\n
• Document patient care accurately in accordance with policies and regulatory standards
\n
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, recovery expectations, and newborn care
\n
• Support charge nurse or delegated unit duties as needed in the birthing unit
\n
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a dynamic Labor & Delivery setting
\n
