Position Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Aerospace X-Ray / Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our quality and inspection team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn a specialized skill in the aerospace industry.

The technician will receive training on X-ray/radiographic inspection equipment, aerospace inspection procedures, and quality requirements. The role involves inspecting aerospace components to identify potential defects or irregularities and ensuring parts meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with X-ray/radiographic inspections of aerospace components and assemblies.

  • Learn to properly set up and operate X-ray and inspection equipment.

  • Review X-ray images and identify potential defects or abnormalities with guidance from experienced technicians.

  • Follow detailed work instructions, inspection procedures, and safety requirements.

  • Perform basic equipment checks and assist with maintaining inspection equipment.

  • Accurately document inspection results and complete required paperwork or electronic records.

  • Communicate inspection findings to Quality and Production personnel.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow all company, quality, and radiation-safety procedures.

  • Work closely with experienced NDT technicians while developing knowledge and skills in aerospace inspection.

Qualifications
  • Little to no previous NDT or X-ray experience required.

  • Mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, military, industrial, or technical experience is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.

  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new technology.

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.

  • Ability to work independently once trained while also contributing to a team environment.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
