BAS / DDC Controls Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Building Automation Technician in Orange County to program, commission, and service open-protocol DDC systems for a mechanical contractor's construction and controls team, across hospitals, universities, and commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission DDC and BACnet systems from sequences of operation.
• Integrate HVAC, lighting, and metering over BACnet or Modbus.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, network verification, and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot controller failures, communication issues, and logic errors in the field.
• Coordinate with contractors and facility operators.
• Document as-builts, punch lists, and project records.

Must-Haves

• Hands-on programming and commissioning of open-protocol DDC systems.
• BACnet and Modbus integration experience.
• Field troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Niagara or Distech certification.
• Healthcare or campus project experience.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Full-time, based in Orange County.
