About the Role

Vivo Healthcare Wauchula is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (Per Diem) to join our team. As part of our mission to make a difference, our ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our patients and residents, working closely with our rehabilitation staff and skilled nursing experts to ensure the highest level of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services to patients and residents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care

• Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress

• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing techniques

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Current certification in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

• Experience working in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting (n/a)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
