Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work complies with local building codes and safety regulations, delivering high-quality results that meet project specifications. Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with construction plans and schematics
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications
• Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly of plumbing components using hand tools and power tools
• Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) on existing plumbing systems in various settings
• Install gas piping systems safely while following all relevant codes and regulations
• Collaborate with construction teams to interpret construction plans and coordinate installation schedules
• Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site work, including carpentry-related duties when necessary
• Read basic math measurements to ensure precise installation of plumbing components
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification demonstrating journeyman status
• Extensive construction site experience with residential and commercial plumbing projects
• Strong knowledge of building code compliance, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding techniques, and HVAC systems is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in physically demanding environments
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of plumbing systems, gas piping, and remodeling projects
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites and plumbing operations
• Valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving if required for specific projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Handyman experience or background in maintenance work is a plus
