About Us
SellToJR.com is one of Houston’s leading home-buying companies—purchasing more than 150 homes per year and growing.
We help homeowners solve real estate problems. Sometimes that means a simple home sale. Other times it means navigating inherited properties, title issues, liens, probate, complicated family situations, or helping a client figure out how to get from their current home to whatever comes next.
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, analytical, and solutions-driven person to own our real estate transactions from contract through closing.
Once our Acquisitions team gets a property under contract, your job is simple:
Get the transaction across the finish line.
You’ll coordinate with sellers, buyers, title companies, attorneys, vendors, and our internal team while managing deadlines, documents, title requirements, and closing logistics.
Some files will be straightforward. Others will involve liens, heirship, probate, missing documents, payoff problems, or unexpected issues.
We need someone who doesn’t wait until three days before closing to discover a problem.
You should naturally be asking: “What could prevent this transaction from closing, and what do we need to do about it now?”
This is not a traditional administrative Transaction Coordinator position.
Responsibilities
- Manage real estate transactions from signed contract through closing
- Track deadlines, documents, title requirements, and outstanding items
- Review title commitments and identify potential problems
- Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, sellers, buyers, and vendors
- Manage and follow up on title-curative items including liens, payoffs, probate, heirship, and missing documents
- Review settlement statements and closing documents for accuracy
- Keep clients informed and set expectations throughout the process
- Handle difficult conversations professionally when problems arise
- Identify potential delays and solve problems before they affect closing
- Maintain accurate and organized transaction files
- Audit transactions and help improve systems that prevent mistakes
Candidate Qualities
- Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Takes ownership and follows through without constant direction
- Comfortable managing multiple transactions at once
- Strong phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable having difficult conversations
- Calm under pressure and persistent when things get complicated
- Able to work effectively with attorneys, title companies, and clients
- Experience with real estate transactions, title, escrow, or paralegal work strongly preferred
- Experience with probate, heirship, liens, judgments, or title-curative work is a major plus
Demonstrate our FRESH core values in all you do —
Freedom, Respect, Enthusiasm, Steadfast, Humility
