Adelphi is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide school special education instructional services in a school setting in San Antonio, Texas .
The ideal candidate will assist/provide individualized instruction, IEP development, and ARD Committee participation services to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student health, safety, and continuity of care.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment
• Core Subjects EC-6 with STR, Core Subjects EC-6, Generalist EC-6, or equivalent core content certification.
• Ability to perform Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) restraints.
Responsibilities:
• Provide special education students with learning activities designed to support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Develop and modify curricula, lessons, and instructional materials to match student ability levels.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop and follow IEPs through the ARD Committee process.
• Initiate, conduct, and attend ARD meetings for assigned students.
• Manage student behavior and administer discipline, including crisis intervention and physical restraint per CPI techniques as necessary.
• Provide or supervise personal care, medical care, and feeding of students as stated in the IEP.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment.
• Communicate and conference regularly with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Work with general education teachers on best practices for instructing special education students.
• Any other duties as assigned.
