Cridersville Health Care Center is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activity Director to lead our resident activities and engagement program!

What You'll DoAs our Activity Director, you will develop and lead a diverse activities program designed around the interests, abilities, and individual needs of our residents.
Responsibilities include:
Plan, organize, and lead engaging daily, weekly, and special activities for residents
Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar
Create programming that promotes socialization, recreation, cognitive stimulation, physical activity, and overall well-being
Get to know our residents personally and develop activities around their individual interests and preferences
Coordinate holiday celebrations, themed events, parties, outings, games, entertainment, and community events
Encourage resident participation and find creative ways to engage residents with different abilities and interests
Build relationships with local organizations, volunteers, entertainers, churches, schools, and other community partners
Collaborate with nursing, social services, dietary, therapy, and other departments to enhance the resident experience
Lead and support activity department staff and volunteers
Maintain required documentation and ensure activities programming meets applicable regulatory requirements
Assist with resident and family events throughout the year
Bring new ideas, enthusiasm, and FUN to our community!
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and knows how to turn an idea into an experience residents can look forward to.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related experience preferred
Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity and the ability to develop engaging programming
Excellent organization and time-management skills
A positive, outgoing, and resident-focused personality
Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
Genuine compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with seniors
