Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation
Support medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments through tailored engagement strategies
Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care in diverse settings such as medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency departments, or behavioral health units
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and wound management to prevent infections
Document patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner and update medical records promptly
Skills
Proven experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home health environments
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC, Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation
Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations
Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and assist with basic life support (BLS) certifications
Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and interdisciplinary teamwork
Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and handling infectious diseases
