Freezer Picker-Reach Forklift

Connect Staffing is hiring a Freezer Picker for a large cold storage / freezer warehouse in Jurupa Valley, CA. This is a long-term placement with possibility of permanent hire, paying $20/hr on a Sunday–Thursday afternoon shift. In this role, you will pick and palletize cases in a freezer environment, unload incoming shipments from trucks, and shrink wrap and restack pallets. Overtime is mandatory depending on workload, so consistent availability is important.

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Pick cases from freezer storage locations and build pallets to order specifications.
• Unload incoming shipments from trucks by hand and with equipment.
• Shrink wrap completed pallets and restack as needed for storage or outbound shipping.
• Operate a standup reach forklift to move pallets within the facility.
• Log and verify inventory counts during picking and receiving.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the freezer environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of loading/unloading or warehouse picking experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a cold storage, freezer, or refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience building and wrapping pallets to weight and height standards.
• Previous lumping or case-pick experience in a high-volume distribution center.
• Standup reach forklift certification or documented training.
• Ability to operate a standup reach forklift.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a freezer environment with temperatures as low as -20°ree;F / -29°ree;C while wearing company-provided PPE and freezer gear.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
• Must communicate effectively in English.
