Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in X-Ray to join our team. The ideal candidate will display excellent technical skills and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities- Position patients on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of the specified body areas as requested by the physician.
- Complete all routine diagnostic procedures competently.
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
- Manage film processing equipment and maintain its functionality.
- Utilize mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in various situations, including the operating room, emergency room, or at the patient's bedside.
- Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Prioritize and organize daily workflow efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Minimum of 1 year of current experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portable imaging, and OR C-arm procedures.
- Experience working with all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Current New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Previous travel experience is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Local travelers (those residing within 50 miles of the facility) will not be considered for this position.
- Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be documented prior to submission, as late requests will not be approved.
- Travelers must be available to work during holiday periods, specifically during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
- Dress code includes hospital blue scrubs (provided), business casual attire with a lab coat, and closed-toe shoes.
