Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist, GMP Manufacturing

What you will tackle

• Keep production moving with predictive and preventive maintenance on facility and process equipment.
• Jump in on new equipment installs and commissioning.
• Complete safety and maintenance inspections with meticulous, GMP‑ready documentation.
• Respond to calls in a 24/7 manufacturing environment; share rotating on‑call responsibilities.
• Track downtime and manage spare parts so the right component is on hand when needed.
• Repair and maintain HVAC, lighting, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Live by LOTO, SDS/MSDS, environmental, and hot‑work rules—no shortcuts.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives with a solutions mindset.
• Advance your skills through training, certifications, and hands‑on projects.
• Use a CMMS for work orders, documentation, and assigned training.
• Operate to the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, Good Manufacturing Practices, and all safety policies.

When and how you’ll work

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Thursday – Saturday with rotating Wednesdays

Pay: $30.00/hour plus $1.25/hour shift differential

Bring these qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Comfort with computers for work orders, documentation, and basic software.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; strong communication skills.
• Capable of wearing a respirator; comfortable in warm/industrial environments.

Preferred

• Experience with PLCs or controls.
• Proven analytical, organizational, and math skills.
• Self-starter who adapts to changing priorities.
• Background in industrial or manufacturing settings.

Other

• Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Willing to support a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays.
