You begin your morning translating schematic designs into clear budgets. By mid-day, you’re coordinating quotes from vendors and subcontractors, confirming they align with national piping codes. In the afternoon, you finalize a sharp, competitive proposal, draft a crisp scope letter, and step into a kickoff with the project team. Post-award, you support buyouts and close the loop with a thoughtful post-mortem so the next bid is even better.

What you’ll do

• Develop and foster fair, positive working relationships across the team; communicate clearly and consistently.
• Own heavy, full-cycle bidding—from takeoff through proposal and turnover.
• Contribute after award with buyouts, scope clarifications, and lessons-learned reviews.
• Apply working knowledge of national piping codes in your estimates and scopes.
• Estimate projects in commercial, healthcare, K–12, or industrial markets, and build conceptual estimates from budgets or schematic design.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure accurate, timely pricing and coverage.
• Use estimating software such as Quotesoft, Accubid, or comparable tools to deliver precise quantities and pricing.
• Write scope letters, lead bid kickoffs, and participate in post-mortems to drive continuous improvement.

What you bring

• Must have proven construction and piping experience.
• Extensive full-cycle bid experience with a track record of accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Post-award involvement (buyouts, scope alignment, turnover support).
• Knowledge of national piping codes.
• Experience in one or more: commercial, healthcare, K–12, industrial, or conceptual estimating (budgets, schematic design) within construction.
• Comfort working with vendors and subcontractors to develop comprehensive proposals.
• Proficiency with Quotesoft, Accubid, or other recognized estimating platforms.
• Willing to relocate.
