Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week evening shift assignment.
Details
- CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Supports Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU patients
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
- Vascular imaging includes CTA, pulmonary embolism, and aortic studies
- Uses Siemens and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment along with PACS
- 3x12 hour evening shifts, Friday-Sunday from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM
- No on-call requirements
- Must be willing to float within site and across the health system as required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT-CT and BLS certification required
- Toshiba/Canon CT equipment experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions
- Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
- Active Oregon state license required, or proof of application and fingerprinting; license required if applicable
- One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
- No felony convictions accepted
Additional Information
- Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
- Subject to mandatory low census cancellation policy, limited to one shift per two-week pay period without penalty
- Must cancel at least 1.5 hours before shift start in the event of low census
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from any facility within the system
- First-time travelers are not specified for consideration
