Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience to provide care for orthopedic, neurologic, and post-surgical patients.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting
- Day shift schedule with options including 4x9 hour or 5x8 hour shifts
- Treats orthopedic, neurologic, gait/balance, pain management, work comp, and pre/post-op surgical cases
- Utilizes soft tissue mobilization, instrument-guided soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise and activities, gait training, neuro re-education, and manual therapy techniques
- Cerner charting preferred
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Pending state license accepted
- Experience with orthopedic and neurologic patient populations required
- Skilled in assessment, documentation, and use of therapeutic modalities and equipment
- 2 supervisor references required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
- Facility closes for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, with limited crews scheduled the day after/eve of these holidays
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- In-state (Indiana) residents are considered local
- Past IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of cumulative travel employment must complete a consecutive break to reset eligibility
