Job Description

Ø  Inventory Tracking:

  • Record and monitor inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the inventory management system.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and report findings to the Inventory Control Lead.

Ø  Stock Audits and Counts:

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock levels.
  • Compare physical counts with inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Report inventory count results and discrepancies to the Inventory Control Lead.

Ø  Data Entry and Reporting:

  • Enter inventory data accurately and promptly into the inventory management system.
  • Generate and distribute inventory reports as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory-related documents, such as purchase orders and stock transfer forms.

Ø  Coordination with Departments:

  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions.
  • Assist in coordinating the receiving and storage of incoming inventory.
  • Support the fulfillment of customer orders by ensuring accurate picking and packing of items.

Ø  Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Ø  Customer Service:

  • Assist with inventory-related customer inquiries and issues.
  • Provide support to the customer service team in resolving inventory discrepancies.

Requirements

Ø  Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Additional coursework in inventory management or related fields is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related role is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems is beneficial.

Ø  Hardware:

  • Operates and uses:
    • Handheld tape gun
    • Utility Knife
    • Radio Frequency Gun (RF)
    • Tablet
  • May operate with certification:
    • Electric Pallet Jack
    • Deep Reach Forklift
    • Sit Down Forklift
    • Order Picker Forklift
    • Scissor Lift

Ø  Other Skills and Abilities

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Good organizational and time management skills.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

·         Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations.

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Ø  Physical demands

·         Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

·         Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
