Shipping Clerk - DIRECT HIRE

Pay Rate/Range: $20-25/hr

Description: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time and in compliance with applicable export regulations. Duties include preparing shipping and customs documentation, coordinating with freight carriers and forwarders, tracking shipments, resolving clearance issues, and maintaining accurate records. The Shipping Clerk position also involves preparing and staging materials according to customer specifications and bills of lading, obtaining carrier identification and signatures, using precision measuring tools, and operating a forklift to move materials and skids throughout the facility.

Job Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of warehouse shipping and receiving experience. Must have basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, experience with data entry and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and familiarity with FedEx, UPS, DHL, and freight booking systems. Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or international trade is preferred, as is knowledge of shipping documentation, Incoterms, customs procedures, carrier systems, and import/export compliance.
