Job Title: Licensed Insurance Agent

Location: Greenville, NC 27834
Duration: 2-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $30 - $40/hr. on W2 (Without benefits) (The compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, geographic location, and other applicable factors, and will fall within the posted pay range)

Travel : Local/regional travel required

Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Group Consultant to support federal employee accounts across Eastern North Carolina. This role focuses on building agency relationships, conducting service visits and presentations, supporting membership growth, and addressing escalated enrollment and claims issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with federal agencies to support membership growth and retention.
• Analyze agency and competitive data and provide weekly territory reports.
• Plan and conduct agency visits, service calls, and presentations.
• Present health benefit plans to federal employees and agency leadership.
• Resolve escalated claims and enrollment issues, including sensitive executive-level matters.
• Develop quarterly newsletters and other communications for Health Benefit Officers.
• Share successful practices and business results with other Blue Plans.
• Manage weekly schedules, meetings, travel arrangements, mileage, and occasional hotel stays.

Required Skills:

• 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of insurance concepts such as deductibles, copays, and benefits.
• Salesforce experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between agency locations. Must Have a Ability To Pay For Gas, Hotels, And Meals Prior To Being Reimbursed

Nice to Have:

• Federal Employee Program (FEP) experience.
• Military base access.

Licensing: Must have or be able to obtain a North Carolina Life & Health and Medicare Supplement Insurance license within the first 60 days, if required.
