Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced healthcare contract manager to manage new and existing payer contracts with healthcare insurance companies and hospitals for a solo physician. This role requires maintaining strong relationships with health plans, medical groups, other third-party payors and hospitals to prepare a complete contract package.

Job Requirement:
· Review all new and existing payer contracts and develop a matrix of key terms that can be used to facilitate contract negotiations.
· Review contract language and recommend potential improvements to all payer contracts.
· Review reimbursement rates and recommend potential improvements.
· Work with existing payers/hospitals to fulfill attestation and credential requirements.
. Work with exiting billing/collection to assist in the collection process.
· Initiate and maintain patient satisfaction online review.
· Develop professional practice website and advertise on social media platforms.
. Assist in various front office tasks as necessary.
Ideal Candidate Characteristics & Requirements:
· A self-motivated, detail-oriented, deadline-driven individual.
· Strong analytical, teamwork, and customer service skills.
· Negotiate contract rates on a consistent renewal cycle and on a case-by-case basis, as the need arises.
· Responsible to submit, modify, negotiate and finalize all new and existing contracts under supervision.
· Understanding of the Southern California managed care marketplace is desired.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, including excel spreadsheets.
· Minimum of two years of experience in contract negotiation with a healthcare provider organization or advanced managed care, preferably within a hospital, medical group, or health plan environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
