Medical Assistant

Part-time Medical Assistant needed 3 days a week (Thursday and Friday are required).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform frequent blood draws and process lab specimens with accuracy and patient comfort as a primary focus.
• Point-of-Care Testing: Perform standard in-clinic diagnostic tests (e.g., rapid strep, flu, urinalysis, glucose monitoring, EKGs).
• Clinical Care & Admin: Administer injections and childhood vaccinations; process prior authorizations and assist with specialist referrals for care coordination.
• EMR & Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely patient records in the EMR/EHR system.
• Team Support: Assist with front desk coverage during short notice absences when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies Required:

• Prior medical assistant experience in a primary care clinic preferred
• Strong proficiency in phlebotomy/blood draws, point-of-care testing, injections, pediatric immunizations, and EKGs.
• Digital literacy and experience navigating EMR/EHR platforms.
• Familiarity with prior authorization processes and referral workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain punctual and reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts.
