Property Manager - Residential Portfolio (NYC)

A growing real estate organization is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential rental properties throughout New York City, some of which include ground-floor commercial and retail space.

The Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, working closely with tenants, building staff, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the properties are operating efficiently and maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of residential rental buildings throughout New York City
• Manage tenant relations, requests, complaints, renewals, and general building issues
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, capital projects, and vendor relationships
• Supervise building staff and ensure properties are properly maintained
• Monitor property expenses, budgets, invoices, and operating performance
• Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on outstanding issues
• Coordinate with leasing, accounting, and other internal departments as needed
• Oversee commercial and retail tenants within mixed-use properties
• Ensure compliance with applicable NYC building, housing, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Prior New York City residential property management experience required
• Experience managing a portfolio of residential rental properties
• Exposure to mixed-use and/or commercial/retail space is a plus
• Strong tenant relations, organizational, and vendor-management skills
• Hands-on, responsive management style with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Salary: $120,000 - $155,000
